Directions
1.Brush a 20 × 30 cm (8 ×12 Inch) shallow tin with oil. Line the base with paper and grease the paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F/Gas 4) .Peal, core and slice the apples and put in a pan with the sugar, cloves and juice. Star stir over heat to warm.Cover and simmer, stirring often, for 20 minutes or until soft. Remove from the heat, drain and cool.

3. Roll out one portion of pastry to fit the tin base. Spread with apple filling. Place the second pastry sheet on top of the filling and press down gently.
4. Brush the top with milk and sprinkle with the extra sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Leave for 15 minutes, then turn onto a wire rack to cool.
