Spinach and  Indian cottage cheese recipe ( palak paneer recipe)

Spinach and  Indian cottage cheese recipe ( palak paneer recipe) is very popular recipe. This recipe is very nutritious. This is made with spinach sauce. This is very rich, smooth, tender and spicy flavours recipe. We can serve this as a spinach soup, or serve with roti, rice, noodles, and oats .

Ingredients

  • Spinach - 3 Cup ( puree or paste) boil a spinach in glass of water for five to eight minutes and make a puree when it cool down.
  • Tomato -  4 large size
  • Ginger garlic paste - two TSP
  • Cashew nuts - 4 to 5 (soaked in water for 20 minutes) Optional.
  • Onion - one large red onion (  optional) finely chopped.
  • Oil - 1/3 Cup oil or butter.
  • Cumin seeds - half TSP.
  • Fenugreek seeds - two pinches.
  • Salt - according to Taste .
  • Coriander powder - one tsp.
  • Red chilli powder - according to taste or half tsp.
  • Lemon - half piece.
  • Milk cream - 100gm ( optional).
  • cottage cheese -  600 gm.
  • Green chilli - 2 chopped 

Pre prepration

  • Make a Puree of all tomatoes in mixer grinder. Keep it aside for later use.
  • Cut the cottage cheese into pieces and sprinkle salt and pinch of red chilli Powder on it. Toss the pieces of cheese  and fry them .


Steps

  1. Take a pan and heat the oil
  2. Put cumin seeds then Fenugreek seeds.
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste  then add onion and green chillis. Cook until pinkish the onion.
  4. Now add all dry masala powder like coriander powder, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala in the pan.
  5. Now it's time to add tomato puree in the pan. Cook for five to eight minutes until the oil came out.
  6. It's time to add master ingredient spinach puree in the pan and cook for 20 minutes on low medium heat. Stir it in between two three times.
  7. Now it's time to add cheese in it . Cook for five minutes more.
  8. Switch off the gas (flame)  and add lemon juice in and mix it well

                                OR

  1.     Add cream in the dish and cook for more five minutes. Garnish the dish with cream.
